大 Valley State University combined degree 程序s offer current
qualified undergraduate students the opportunity to complete both an
undergraduate and graduate degree, meeting personal, academic, and
career goals. A combined degree can reduce the cost and total time
required to complete both.
Program Overview
Qualified undergraduates may be admitted to the 程序 and obtain a bachelor's degree in public and nonprofit administration and a master's degree in public administration within an accelerated time frame. 学生 admitted to this 程序 may take graduate courses after completing 90 undergraduate credits, and up to 12 credits of graduate work may be used in partial satisfaction of the requirements for the undergraduate degree.
Undergraduates may apply to the 程序 after reaching junior standing or 75 credit hours, with at least 30 hours completed at GVSU; a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above; completion of required coursework with a B or better; and completion of PNH 520 - Foundations of Public Service taken during the fifth or sixth semester with a B or better. Coursework
The following courses will be used towards completion of the combined degree:
- PNH 520 (required) as an additional elective
- PNH 612 for PNH 376
- PNH 614 for PNH 420
- PNH 535, 630, 660, 641 or 620 as an elective option
All combined degree students will be required to take one, three-credit hour graduate-level internship. This is in addition to the undergraduate internship requirement.
